Hey I am having the same problem also. If you find
an answer please respond back
: Hi!
: I posted a few weeks ago about my engine light coming on (would light up approx. 300km after having turned it off by removing and replacing the fuses).
: I finally decided to go to the dealer (Mazda) and have a full tune up (I was due for a service at 64000Km, anyways, and was at 63000Km), and have the problem looked into.
: They checked all the wiring, lubricated everything, checked my pistons and the alternator, the clutch (the car is a standard), the battery and the radior. Found out my Mass Air Flow sensor needed to be changed (good thing it was under an extended warranty).
: Now, not even 800Km later, the engine light comes on again?!!??
: I hear a faint rattle noise when I'm around 1700/2700 rpm, and the engine is a bit noisier than it used to be (figured the car is ageing so it must be normal), you know, like a (very small) plane taking off (heard from the inside).
: Any ideas on what the problem might be? Another sensor? Would you recommend going to an independant garageman rather than to the dealer? (the rates are very similar).
: Thanks in advance,
: Marie
