Hi!
I posted a few weeks ago about my engine light coming on (would light up approx. 300km after having turned it off by removing and replacing the fuses).

I finally decided to go to the dealer (Mazda) and have a full tune up (I was due for a service at 64000Km, anyways, and was at 63000Km), and have the problem looked into.

They checked all the wiring, lubricated everything, checked my pistons and the alternator, the clutch (the car is a standard), the battery and the radior. Found out my Mass Air Flow sensor needed to be changed (good thing it was under an extended warranty).

Now, not even 800Km later, the engine light comes on again?!!??

I hear a faint rattle noise when I'm around 1700/2700 rpm, and the engine is a bit noisier than it used to be (figured the car is ageing so it must be normal), you know, like a (very small) plane taking off (heard from the inside).

Any ideas on what the problem might be? Another sensor? Would you recommend going to an independant garageman rather than to the dealer? (the rates are very similar).

Thanks in advance,
Marie
